For those of you who are wondering why there are no updates...

Don't worry, Homemade Games isn't dead. There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes.

First of all, school is taking up most of my free time. Fortunately, spring break is almost here, starting March 20th.

So, what have I been working on?

  • The Homemade Games logo is getting a major revamp. With music, too!
  • I am making updates and upgrades on all of the games that are already released. The biggest upgrade will be Blob Wars, including a brand new weapon: the missile. I am also tweaking my latest game, Cave Crawler. (Beta Testing is finished, and the game will be released soon.)
  • Once I am finished updating the games, I will (finally) be finishing the "Play Online" page on the website. If you want to try the games before downloading them, or if you are on a computer where you can't download the games, you will be able to play all of them online.
  • I have been working closely with Richard Lesko, helping him with his current project, which is almost finished. It is called Chocolate Breakers. Beta Testers: You will be seeing this game very soon.
  • Finally, I have several projects I am currently working on:
Twilight Arena - Ancient Legends
This is a full-scale RPG, using a turn-based battle system, stats, and items. This is a huge project, and will take a long time to finish. I am doing all of the programming myself. (Battle System, Damage Calculation Equations, Item Inventory, Saving and Loading Games, Creating and Developing Enemies, Creating Items and Equipments, Using Items, Equipping Equipments, the list goes on and on...)

Blob Wars - Phasebreaker
A real-time version of Blob Wars. It will use a splitscreen, and, instead of turns and phases, you will be able to cycle through various weapons, and each will have a cooldown. I have just started on this project.

I am also working on a point-and-click mystery game, for which I do not yet have a title. This is a smaller project, and will probably be released the soonest.

That's all for now, but be ready for a lot of updates, very soon.

Check back soon,

- Sam
